King Henry & The Showmen
This was a lucky flea market find. I only paid a quarter for this record and I've seen it online for twenty five to thirty dollars. Anyway, there's no date on the album. But, I've seen it mentioned that it was an early 70's release. This isn't really my style of music. But, when I was recording it to my computer, I was listening to it and, I must admit, it's really not that bad. It has a really good feel to it...kind of like block party music. This would probably be considered an "oldies" release.
There's a version of "Goldfinger" on here as well as a cover of The Who's "Pinball Wizard." However, if I had to pick a stand out track it would be "Who Put The Shark," which is an original novelty tune that the band wrote after a flash flood in Las Vegas. Check it out. I'm sure some of you will appreciate this one.
