Demo Collection

Since I don't think too many of you got into my last post...here's something special for you. It's a collection of (mostly) demo recordings. Here's what this download includes.

Baby Face - 1986 - 3 songs
Atom West - 1988 - 5 songs
Misfit Toyz - 1988 - 3 songs
Sapient - 1988 - 3 songs
In Kahootz - 1994 - 4 songs
Mad Revere - 2001 - 3 songs

In Kahootz is a cassette rip. Mad Revere came from a CD. When the band was active, they also had these tunes online as a free download. Both of these releases came from me. Everything else came from a friend of mine. I don't think I ever heard of any of these bands and I really don't have any information on them. All I know is that Baby Face was from Hazleton, Atom West was from Allentown, Misfit Toyz were from Mt. Pocono and Sapient was from Bethlehem. The quality of these recordings vary from band to band. If you have a better copy...or any other recordings from these bands...get in touch. I'd also like to hear from any former band members who could provide some information on the band you were in.

Finally, I'd like to mention that I don't have any artwork for any of these releases and I'm not sure if there even was any. So, just enjoy the music.

Nazirite

I'm putting this release up on the slight chance that someone out there might be looking for it. If you are...I don't understand why. This album is just plain bad in every sense of the word. Okay, let's go down the list...uh...first of all, Nazirite sounded like they wanted to be a christian glam/rock band. That's the feel they seem to be going for here. Some of the music isn't really that bad. But, honestly, they sound like a band that just learned how to play their instruments. Second, there's the lyrics. I can understand the point that they're trying to make. Satan's bad, Jesus is good...blah, blah, blah. They're trying to be positive, which is a good thing. It's just that...well...the word cheesy comes to mind. For example, "Let me tell ya one thing my friend, drug parties only bring headaches. Eat up your money and your life. So, drink and shoot up till judgement day." The rest of the album is pretty much the same way. Finally, there's the vocals. I know this is gonna sound harsh. But, they're horrible and they're rather painful to listen to. The dude just can't freakin' sing and I can't believe that no one had the heart to tell him. I mean...wow...it's bad...very, very bad.

Those of you who download this release...well...I know the only reason why you're gonna do that is because you're curious. You read what I had to say and you're saying to yourself, "Come on, it can't be that bad!" Believe me, it's that freakin' bad. I don't think anyone out there will listen to this release for enjoyment. It's a novelty, kind of like William Hung. You'll listen, you'll laugh, you'll forget. Personally, I'd get more pleasure outta watchin' a coffin warp.

You're probably also thinking, "Well, if it's that bad...why do you have it?" The ONLY reason this album is in my collection is because they're a Pennsylvania band. This is the second time I heard this release and the only reason I gave it a second listen is because I wanted to convert the cassette tape into MP3 format. This is what I'm doing with the rest of my cassette tape collection. So, it's not like I pulled this one out special. It was just the next in line. It's posted here, the cassette has been put away and I seriously doubt I will ever listen to these songs again.

I know this was a rather harsh little write up. But, I'm just being honest.
